Kathleen Martinez has always loved school, particularly STEM subjects. But shortly after having a baby boy at age 16, she made the difficult decision to leave high school. The Care Center is also a recipient of the Mass Cultural Council’s 2019 Commonwealth Award, honoring exceptional achievement in the arts, humanities, and sciences.
