Register for a Roqué House Information Session

Some good news in the middle of this pandemic! We are excited to introduce the Roqué House Program — new holistic housing for young parents enrolled in higher education.

There is a three step application process for the Roqué House Program. The first step is to register for one of the online information sessions.

STEP 1: REGISTER FOR AN INFORMATION SESSION

Friday, September 18 at  6PM

Wednesday, September 30 at 10AM

STEP 2: APPLICATION

After participating in an information session, please complete the Roqué House application.

STEP 3: ENTER THE HOUSING LOTTERY

Attend a Library Commons webinar and fill out the Library Commons application.

This program was created in partnership with Way Finders, the region’s longtime affordable housing developer. Ten two- and three-bedroom apartments will be dedicated to supporting young families working toward economic stability. The apartments will be ready for occupancy in January 2021 and the application process will happen this fall. Please help us spread the word.

Roqué House residents will be part of a plan to provide secure and stable housing for young parents pursuing higher education. This program is part of Library Commons — the inspired neighborhood revitalization project happening just down the street from the Holyoke Public Library and steps away from downtown Holyoke. Roqué House will provide academic and life support to young parent residents, who will also create and present onsite art, cultural, and educational events. Residents and their children will live in beautiful, safe, furnished, and affordable housing as they move on their path to self-sufficiency.

The Care Center gave me hope and a desire for change. They actually cared about me and my child. I quickly earned my GED at 16 years old.
