Jacqueline Velez, recent grad
uate of Bard Microcollege Holyoke, talks about her experience in college, her struggle as a young mother that resulted in spending time at Riker’s Island, and how a moment with her 8 year-old-daughter became a turning point. Jacqueline was 28 years old when she realized for the first time that college might be possible for her.
