Would You Like Some Good News?

I am writing to share with you an update on how our team is supporting young families throughout this crisis. But let me begin with some much-needed good news: two of our Microcollege students have been accepted to Mount Holyoke to complete their bachelor's degrees next fall! We are so immensely proud of these women (and of all of our students.) Their focus and dedication through life's many … [Read more...] about Would You Like Some Good News?

A Difficult Update and Request

In light of the global pandemic, we have cancelled our Annual Fundraising Party, an event we all look forward to. But in the face of this, we ask you, our community, to support The Care Center's work to lift young women and … [Read more...] about A Difficult Update and Request

Meet Candice

One of the first graduates of Bard Microcollege Holyoke, Candice Pelletier is now completing her Bachelor’s degree at Smith College on a full scholarship. Like many women who find The Care Center, Candice’s path to college took a few unusual turns. I had just become a teen mom and dropped out of high school, unable to find child care. I had been homeless many times – moving around, … [Read more...] about Danielis Gonzalez on Finding The Care Center

We’ve witnessed how one class, one professor can change the angle from which we see our future. Whether it’s holding an adult brain and learning the inner workings of its sponge-like, functionality or learning about the overabundance of Phage in a teaspoon of dirt, each subject is a building block to our reinvention of ourselves.
