Gigi and her sweet baby joined our program last year—and they inspire us every day.
Geleydie (“Gigi”) Santiago, 20, from Springfield, has already accomplished so much while balancing motherhood and her studies. Gigi found strength and community at The Care Center, discovered her voice as a writer and leader on the Nautilus II editorial board, and even uncovered a surprising love of math. Not only has she taken college-level courses and learned to row, but she also enrolled full-time at Bard Microcollege Holyoke to continue her education—showing incredible determination, ambition, and resilience.
